“Music begins where the possibilities of language end.”

Jean Sibelius

Biography

I was born in the Eastern Ukraine, in a musical family.
My mom started teaching me piano when I turned 5 and I instantly fell in love with music. I was sight reading new pieces every time I had
a chance - for me that was always as exciting as reading a good book. After I graduated from high school, I got into the music college
to study piano as a major. I graduated from college in 2012
and worked in a music school as a piano teacher for 2 years.

When the war conflict hit the Eastern Ukraine in 2014,
I was forced to move to Kyiv and start all over. That is when
I started writing songs, playing in bands and getting deeper into singing-songwriting. As a result of all the collaborations with different musicians and working with a sound producer – my EP “People Are Rivers” was released in 2019, together with a video clip,
followed by a single release in 2021.

While it was fun writing and producing songs,
I didn’t feel like I was reaching my full potential as a musician.
That is when I turned my head towards Film Scoring and decided
to move to Europe to study composition. I first got into the academy
in Bonn (preparatory Film Scoring course), and after that –
into ArtEZ University of the Arts, where I am currently studying Composition for Film and Theater.
